It's been a long time, but we are back to posting. For now. Can't make any promises. Let's start off by saying that the last episode was amazing. We've been wondering about Daniel Faraday's past for a while. His relationship with his mother Eloise is very interesting...we can't believe she would send him to the island knowing she was going to kill him. But we already knew how persuasive she is when convincing people of their destinies, i.e. convincing Desmond not to buy the ring. Speaking of Desmond, we wish him a speedy recovery. We were nervous when Eloise referred to him as a "casualty in this chain of events". Luckily, he seems to be doing fine.

We are impatiently awaiting the episode which delves into Richard Alpert's life...it's sure to be a good one. Also, whose side is he on? Widmore's or Ben's? Or neither? And the age old question, how old IS he?

We totally called the fact that Juliet and Sawyer got together! Go us. Sasha is hoping that their love can survive these hard times. Lauren, on the other hand, feels that Sawyer should be with whoever he wants to, and has a feeling that Juliet is not able to compete with Kate. Kate and Jack have not been highlighted as a couple recently, and we would like to see how their love continues on the island.

One big question: why did Sun not go back in time? Will she ever be reunited with Jin? Sun and Jin are the new Penny and Desmond!

We can't wait for the next episode.

See you in another life, brotha.

Jin is back!

Hello all, sorry for posting so late! As you may have guessed from our title, this post is dedicated to Jin for surviving the exploding freighter. We called it. Poor guy, he doesn't understand what's going on with the time warp so he has no idea why he's meeting a 16-year younger Rousseau. He's also not looking so good after his near-drowning experience, but we'll give him some time to recuperate. Back on the mainland, Sun clearly has hidden motives for meeting up with Kate. We really want to know what's up with the photos she received of Ben and Jack, as well as the gun. Is she really going to try to kill Ben? We think the plot will thicken when Desmond arrives in L.A. to search for Faraday's mother, and we're sure he'll meet up with the rest of the Oceanic 6. We wonder if Desmond necessarily has to return to the island with everyone else in order to save the survivors on the island. Speaking of the island, what is going on with all these nosebleeds? We thought Charlotte was a goner but she managed to survive (sorry Nate). What does Daniel mean when he says it might be about exposure to the island. We think Charlotte was born on the island, or at least has been there before, but Miles claims to never have frequented there before and he is the second person to get the nosebleed. Juliet has it but she's been there for about three years which could explain it. We would like a full explanation from Mr. Faraday. Another point of curiosity is how Locke intends to make it off the island through the Orchid station, seeing as Ben used that station to move the island. We don't think that John Locke would want to be banished from the island like Ben was, so it is doubtful that he will move the island again. Also, we failed to mention last time Ben's encounter with the lady in the butcher shop where he left Locke's body casket. Finally, our prediction is that the old lady who is working with Ben to get the Oceanic 6 back to the island (the same lady who talked Desmond out of buying out the ring) is Daniel Faraday's mother...who conveniently is the same person Desmond is currently searching for.

There are so many hot girls in Lost, brotha.

A request was made that, since we talked about three of the attractive men on Lost, we should also give some credit to the casting directors for choosing such beautiful women. A recent poll taken among our fellow Lost-watching-guy-friends indicated that Kate was the overall favorite, and there was a surprise strong vote for the dead Shannon, who came in a narrow second. We think that Sun, Penny, and Claire are also hot, for various reasons. Kate is a sexy fugitive, who manages to look good no matter the dirty situation. She also pulls off the clean look in her appearances after leaving the island. Shannon, a bulimic former model, is a little skinny for our tastes and undeserving of the awesome Sayid. However, she is very pretty regardless. Sun is an exotic Korean woman, whose control of her life makes her extremely sexy. For a pregnant woman on a deserted island, she pulls it together. Speaking of pregnancy, Penny looked absolutely wonderful while giving birth. Who else wears a nice blue flowered dress during labor? (Desmond also had a nice shirt on, for the record) In general, we find Penny to be very attractive, with the accent and the curly hair, and most of all her determination to find her true love. When Claire first came to the island, she was the hot pregnant girl. But later episodes have made her a little too creepy for her to be higher up in the rankings. Juliet and Charlotte are generally attractive, but compared to the others somewhat mediocre. Charlotte's frequent nosebleeds are not helping her out. We might be biased because they are not the lead protagonists, and may have hidden agendas.
Now we are on to the most recent episode. Des and Penny named their child Charlie, which we found endearing, despite our friend Andrew's negative attitude toward Charlie. Desmond's journey to Oxford raised questions on Daniel Faraday's past. We are especially curious to learn about Daniel's history with Theresa, and how it relates to the island. Also, we are wondering why Widmore continues to fund Theresa's life support so many years after the incident. The most shocking discovery of this episode was Charles Widmore's presence on the island fifty years beforehand. He has claimed the island as his in the past, but never before has there been indication that he was once there. Also, it is curious that he would claim the island as his, when he is clearly Richard Alpert's subordinate. Richard Alpert is "very old" according to Juliet, but how old, and how does manage to stay looking so good? On a side note, we would like to suggest that he stop wearing eyeliner to enhance his looks. Lauren's theory that Richard is actually John Locke's father was disproved when he introduced himself to Richard Alpert circa fifty years ago, telling him to visit him when he is born. On a sentimental note, we thought it was romantic when Daniel Faraday pronounced his love for Charlotte, and later did not renounce his statement. For his sake, we hope she doesn't die.

So far, this season of Lost has raised more questions than it has answered. We are looking forward to next week's episode.

See you in another life, brotha.

An Introduction to Our Blog

Greetings Lost Fans. Our names are Sasha and Lauren and we are avid followers of ABC’s Lost. Here, we will write our thoughts, reviews, and predictions each week as new episodes are shown. Our blog, entitled “Constantly Lost” is a double entendre, in tribute to “The Constant,” a.k.a. the best episode ever, and also refers to our feelings about the convoluted plot lines. But first, we would like to share some of our current thoughts about the show.
Most importantly, our favorite character is Desmond. How can you say no to that gorgeous accent and how hot he looks when he wears that blue shirt that bears his chest? But in all seriousness, his story lines are the most interesting, especially the concepts of time and predestination.
Also important to note, like many other viewers, we favor one of Jack or Sawyer over the other, especially when it comes to who belongs with Kate. Sasha is a Jack Shephard fan, admiring his leadership roles and doctorate abilities as well as his obvious good looks (of course). Lauren, on the other hand, is a James “Sawyer” Ford fan, due to his multiple layers of personality and character, and of course his rugged good looks. Kate knows she should be with Jack, the obvious right choice for her, but cannot help but be tempted by the bad boy Sawyer, who has criminal tendencies like herself. We are intrigued by this love triangle, especially about the secret Sawyer told Kate before jumping off the helicopter, which would lead Kate to compromise her engagement with Jack. Juliet’s role in this situation is also interesting, as she was somewhat involved with Jack in the 4th season, and we have picked up on the vibe that she and Sawyer could potentially develop into something (based on Season 5’s opener).
We strongly believe that Jin is not dead. Lost always manages to bring back its characters, including the dead (we did not appreciate Ethan’s reappearance—the guy creeps the hell out of us). Also, what other show has a hot Korean guy in it? Yeah, that’s what we thought. Although we are not Lost prophets, we did pick up on the writers’ mention of Sun “believing her husband is dead” which lends itself to possibilities of his reemergence.
The Season 5 premiere has made us most curious on two main ideas. First, Daniel Faraday was a member of the Dharma Initiative? How can that be if the Dharma Initiative was supposedly active during the late 70s- early 80s? Clearly Daniel is not aging normally, so our guess is that he is stuck on the “record track” of the island (he is on the island’s time if that makes any sense). Richard, the other non-ager, is a whole other story. He appears to never age, and he has kept a distant relationship with John Locke throughout his life. We wonder if he is actually John Locke’s real father, as it was ambiguous in the 4th season episode about John. Secondly, we cannot wait to see more episodes featuring Dr. Halliwax buring the time he was making the Dharma Initiative videos. We were ecstatic when the 5th Season Premiere opened with a scene of him. If the videos are not really instructional videos for experiments, then what was the Dharma Initiative doing on the island? We believe that Dr. Halliwax holds the key to many of these mysteries and can’t wait to learn more.
